This week, the students from K2C participated in a fun and meaningful activity designed to strengthen their fine motor skills and promote the correct use of scissors.
The children became little hairdressers and practiced cutting by giving their classmates a “paper haircut” using colorful paper strips placed on their heads. This playful activity allowed them to safely practice how to hold and control scissors while having a great time.
Afterward, students worked with a white sheet of paper, cutting out different geometric shapes such as circles, squares, and triangles. Using these shapes, they created their own figures and designs, showing creativity and imagination.
It was an activity they truly enjoyed, and it helped them develop confidence, coordination, and independence while using scissors properly.
Personally, moments like this remind me that children learn best through play, creativity, and meaningful experiences. Seeing their excitement, focus, and pride in their work was truly rewarding. Every small cut they make represents a big step in their development, and I feel proud to guide them as they grow more confident and independent each day.
Pequeños estilistas
Esta semana, los alumnos del grupo K2C participaron en una actividad divertida y significativa diseñada para fortalecer la motricidad fina y promover el uso adecuado de las tijeras.
Los niños se convirtieron en pequeños estilistas y practicaron el recorte dando un “corte de cabello” de papel a sus compañeros, utilizando tiras de papel de colores colocadas sobre sus cabezas. Esta actividad lúdica les permitió practicar de manera segura cómo sostener y controlar las tijeras mientras se divertían.
Posteriormente, los alumnos trabajaron con una hoja blanca en la que recortaron diferentes figuras geométricas como círculos, cuadrados y triángulos. Con estas figuras, crearon distintas formas y diseños, demostrando su creatividad e imaginación.
Sin duda, fue una actividad que les encantó y que contribuyó al desarrollo de su coordinación, confianza e independencia en el uso correcto de las tijeras.
En lo personal, este tipo de momentos me recuerda que los niños aprenden mejor a través del juego, la creatividad y experiencias significativas. Ver su emoción, su concentración y el orgullo por su trabajo fue muy gratificante. Cada pequeño corte representa un gran avance en su desarrollo, y me llena de alegría acompañarlos mientras se vuelven más seguros e independientes cada día.
