In our Literacy class, we began a meaningful exploration of imagination and observation by looking up at the sky. The children carefully observed the clouds, noticing their shapes, movement, and colors. This activity encouraged them to describe what they saw and share their ideas.
To extend this experience, we created our own “clouds” using an ink blot activity. As the paint spread and formed unique shapes, the children used their creativity to interpret and describe what their clouds resembled.
These experiences served as a perfect introduction to the story Little Cloud by Eric Carle. Through observation and imagination, the children were prepared to engage deeply with the story, making connections between their own creations and Little Cloud`s journey.

Explorando el cielo en busca de nubes
En nuestra clase de Literacy, exploramos y usamos la imaginación y la observación del cielo. Los niños observaron cuidadosamente las nubes, notando sus formas, movimiento y colores. Esta actividad los motivó a describir lo que veían y a compartir sus ideas.
Para extender esta experiencia, creamos nuestras propias “nubes” mediante una actividad de manchas de tinta. A medida que la pintura se expandía y formaba figuras únicas, los niños utilizaron su creatividad para interpretar y describir a qué se parecían sus nubes.
Estas experiencias sirvieron como una introducción perfecta al cuento Little Cloud de Eric Carle. A través de la observación y la imaginación, los niños se prepararon para involucrarse profundamente con la historia, estableciendo conexiones entre sus propias creaciones y el recorrido de Little Cloud.
