In our recent activity, we went to one of our incredible spaces here in Happy, the light lab. For kids, it’s useful to work in different environments and also for them to discover new things by themselves. This helped them develop their curiosity, creativity, and different skills.
In this activity, I only gave them 3 colors: red, yellow, and blue. We created a vibrant experiment where children could combine these colors to make new ones. They were awestruck by how the colors blended and the creative process. They mentioned the new colors they made in response to their numerous color-related inquiries!

Throughout the activity, we also practiced counting by using their little fingers to handle the dropper; they had to put the correct amount of drops on the acetate.
They were excited by the process of seeing colors change, and kids noticed that they know how to count.
Explorando colores y contando
En nuestra actividad reciente, fuimos a uno de nuestros increíbles espacios aquí en Happy, el Light Lab. Para los niños es útil trabajar en diferentes entornos para que descubran cosas nuevas por sí mismos. Esto les ayudó a desarrollar su curiosidad, creatividad y sus diferentes habilidades.
Durante esta actividad solo les di 3 colores: rojo, amarillo y azul. Hicimos un experimento colorido y los niños podían mezclar estos colores para crear otros nuevos; se sorprendieron de cómo se mezclaron y el proceso de creación de nuevos colores. Hicieron muchas preguntas sobre los colores y los nuevos tonos.
A lo largo de la actividad también practicamos el conteo, usando sus deditos para manejar el gotero que tenían para poner la cantidad correcta de gotas en el acetato. No solo se emocionaron con el proceso de ver cambiar los colores, sino que también notaron que saben contar.
