This week in our class, we enjoyed a very special sensory experience. We worked with the book “See, Touch, Feel” by Priddy Books, which allowed us to explore learning through our senses. To make this activity even more meaningful, we held the class outside in the patio, creating a different, natural, and stimulating environment for the children.
During the reading, all the students were fully engaged and participated actively. Afterwards, we played with the “mystery box,” a fun activity where we sang, discovered colors and textures, and reinforced what we had read in the book in an interactive way.
To finish the activity, we put our learning into practice: each child painted some tubes that we are using in a very special project — building a little house! Each of our students contributed their work and creativity to help bring this construction to life.
We truly believe that “when we learn with our hearts, our minds never forget,” and this week was proof of that. Thank you for being a part of this journey of discovery and play.
Explorando con los Sentidos: Una Semana de Aprendizaje Diferente
Esta semana, en nuestra clase, vivimos una experiencia sensorial muy especial. Trabajamos con el libro “See, Touch, Feel” de Priddy Books, el cual nos permitió acercarnos al aprendizaje a través de nuestros sentidos. Para hacer esta actividad aún más significativa, decidimos trasladar la clase al patio, creando un ambiente distinto, natural y estimulante para los niños.
Durante la lectura, todos los alumnos mostraron gran interés y participaron activamente. Luego, jugamos con “la caja misteriosa”, una dinámica que nos permitió cantar, descubrir colores y texturas, y reforzar lo aprendido en el libro de una manera divertida y práctica.
Para concluir la actividad, llevamos lo aprendido a la acción: cada niño pintó tubos que estamos utilizando en un proyecto muy especial: ¡la construcción de una casita! Cada uno de nuestros alumnos aportó su esfuerzo y creatividad para formar parte de esta obra colectiva.
Creemos firmemente que “cuando aprendemos con el corazón, la mente nunca olvida”, y esta semana fue prueba de ello. Gracias por acompañarnos en este viaje de descubrimiento y juego.
