Last week, our first-grade students participated in a heartwarming activity focused on fostering healthy relationships within their classroom. The children worked in teams to reflect on what it means to build strong, kind, and inclusive connections with one another.
Each team collaborated to identify the “keys” to a healthy relationship. Their responses were thoughtful and full of warmth, including:
- “We talk with love to each other.”
- “We all can play together.”
- “We all are friends, and nobody is excluded.”
After these discussions, the students brought their ideas to life by creating colorful posters filled with drawings and symbols to illustrate their thoughts. The creativity and effort they put into these posters truly captured the spirit of their messages.
But the activity didn’t stop there! To share their learning and spread these important values, each team visited the other first-grade classrooms. They proudly presented their posters and explained the ideas behind them, encouraging their peers to join in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
This activity not only strengthened the bonds among the students but also inspired them to promote kindness and teamwork throughout their grade. It was a beautiful reminder that even the youngest members of our school community have the power to make a positive impact by practicing love, inclusion, and friendship in their everyday interactions.

Construyendo puentes de amistad: Los estudiantes de primero exploran relaciones saludables.
La semana pasada, nuestros estudiantes de primer grado participaron en una hermosa actividad enfocada en fomentar relaciones saludables dentro de su salón de clases. Nuestros niños trabajaron en equipo para reflexionar sobre lo que significa construir conexiones fuertes, amables e inclusivas entre ellos.
Cada equipo colaboró para identificar las “claves” de una relación saludable. Sus respuestas fueron reflexivas y llenas de calidez:
- “Nos hablamos con amor.”
- “Todos podemos jugar juntos.”
- “Todos somos amigos y nadie es excluido.”
Después de estas discusiones, los estudiantes dieron vida a sus ideas creando carteles llenos de dibujos y símbolos para ilustrar sus pensamientos. La creatividad y el esfuerzo que pusieron en estos carteles realmente capturaron el espíritu de sus mensajes.
¡Pero la actividad no terminó ahí! Para compartir lo que aprendieron y difundir estos importantes valores, cada equipo visitó otros salones de primer grado. Presentaron con orgullo sus carteles y explicaron las ideas detrás de ellos, alentando a sus compañeros a unirse en la creación de un ambiente inclusivo y de apoyo para todos.
Esta actividad no solo fortaleció los lazos entre los estudiantes, sino que también los inspiró a promover la amabilidad y el trabajo en equipo en toda su generación. Fue la demostración de que, incluso los miembros más jóvenes de nuestra comunidad escolar, tienen el poder de hacer un impacto positivo practicando el amor, la inclusión y la amistad en su vida diaria.
