In our recent classroom activity, the children embarked on an exciting journey of learning English sounds and words using letter plush toys. This hands-on, playful approach helped them to not only recognize letters but also to connect them with their corresponding sounds. By using the plush toys as a playful tool, the children engaged in meaningful and joyful learning experiences.
The activity followed the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, which emphasizes hands-on learning, creativity, and the importance of the environment as the «third teacher.» By interacting with the toys, the children made connections between the sounds and the letters, and through play, they developed their first CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words in English. Cards with simple words served as a visual aid, supporting their understanding as they linked the sounds of the letters to the words on the cards.

Aprendiendo a través del juego: Explorando letras y sonidos con peluches.
En nuestro salón de clases, los alumnos emprendieron un emocionante viaje de aprendizaje de los sonidos y las palabras en inglés utilizando peluches de letras. Este enfoque práctico y lúdico les ayudó no solo a reconocer las letras, sino también a conectarlas con sus sonidos correspondientes.
