K1 students have discovered the square shape through different activities. We started by looking for the figure around us and discovered that many objects, such as books, boxes, pictures, etc., have that shape. Later, the students placed different objects to form the square, and they worked as a team to make it.
It is important to encourage the learning of shapes since preschool, as this helps children to develop logical thinking, spatial intuition, and the ability to establish relationships with their environment.
It is important to work together at home and school. Hence, the children have a literate environment where they discover new knowledge related to their environment, which will turn into meaningful learning.

Figuras de nuestro alrededor
Los alumnos de K1 han descubierto la figura del cuadrado por medio de diferentes actividades. Empezamos buscando la figura a nuestro alrededor y descubrimos que hay muchos objetos con esa forma, como libros, cajas, fotos, etc. Posteriormente, los alumnos colocaron diferentes objetos para formar el cuadrado y, a su vez, trabajaron en equipo para realizarlo.
Es importante favorecer el aprendizaje de las figuras geométricas desde preescolar, ya que esto ayuda a los niños a desarrollar un pensamiento lógico, la intuición espacial y la capacidad de establecer relaciones con su entorno.
Desde casa es importante trabajar juntos para que los pequeños tengan un ambiente alfabetizado en el que descubran nuevos conocimientos relacionados con su entorno; de esta forma será un aprendizaje más significativo.
