The fifth graders attended an engaging talk by Gabriela Vargas, a professional fashion designer and mother of one of the students, as part of their Atelier project “Fashion and Clothing.” She introduced the students to the history of fashion, explaining how clothing has evolved over time and how different cultures have influenced the way people dress.
Gabriela also discussed a variety of fashion styles, showing how designers use colors, shapes, and fabrics to communicate ideas. Her examples helped students understand that fashion is both creative and expressive, allowing people to share their identity through what they wear.
Finally, she highlighted the importance of sustainable clothing, encouraging students to think about recycling fabrics, reducing waste, and making environmentally conscious choices. Her visit not only supported their project but also inspired them to design with responsibility and imagination.
Una mirada creativa a la moda desde la voz de una Diseñadora
Los estudiantes de quinto grado asistieron a una charla muy interesante impartida por Gabriela Varga, diseñadora de moda y madre de una de las alumnas, como parte de su proyecto de Atelier “Moda y Vestimenta.” Ella introdujo a los estudiantes a la historia de la moda, explicando cómo ha evolucionado la ropa a lo largo del tiempo y cómo diferentes culturas han influido en la forma de vestir.
Gabriela también habló sobre diversos estilos de moda, mostrando cómo los diseñadores utilizan colores, formas y telas para comunicar ideas.
