Today was the end of our 6th-grade Around the World project. This was the culmination of many months’ worth of work, and it was an incredible day.
Over the past few months, our students have been learning about a new country, and today they shared one of the most important parts of culture, food.
The students made a traditional dish from their country, brought it to school, and not only shared their food with hundreds of students, but also shared their project, and all the work they did.
The day was full of smiles, joy, sharing, and delicious food. I am so proud of each student who participated in this incredible day.
But it was a bittersweet day. It’s our last main activity in 6th grade, it’s the last activity before they leave for secondary school, but what a fantastic way to end 6th grade.

Alrededor del mundo y de regreso
Hoy concluyó nuestro proyecto de sexto grado Alrededor del Mundo. Fue el resultado de muchos meses de trabajo, ¡y fue un día increíble!
Durante los últimos meses, nuestros alumnos estuvieron aprendiendo sobre un nuevo país, y hoy compartieron una de las partes más importantes de la cultura: La comida.
Los alumnos prepararon un platillo tradicional del país que estudiaron, lo trajeron a la escuela y no solo lo compartieron con cientos de compañeros, sino que también presentaron su proyecto y todo el esfuerzo que pusieron en él.
Fue un día lleno de sonrisas, alegría, convivencia y comida deliciosa. Me siento muy orgulloso de cada uno de mis alumnos que participó en este día tan especial.
Pero también fue un día agridulce. Es nuestra última gran actividad en sexto grado antes de que se vayan a secundaria. Sin embargo, ¡qué manera tan fantástica de cerrar esta etapa!
