When we started planning our next Reggio Emilia Project, we noticed our students’ interest in planets, rockets, and even life outside our planet. We also realize our kids think that the “universe” and “outer space” are two different concepts; they also mention that the sky is above our planet, while outer space is under it.
The universe is a fascinating topic that sparks children’s imagination and curiosity. Through exploration, observation, and art, this project will allow them to learn about the solar system, planets, stars, and other celestial bodies in a meaningful way, fostering scientific thinking, creativity, and teamwork.
Our K3 students will start this new and exciting project by answering the following questions:
- What is the universe?
- Why is the planet Earth the only habitable planet?
You are welcome to create your galactic adventure at home or take your kids to the Planetarium so curiosity takes over their minds, and share it with us!
Exploradores del universo
Al comenzar a planear nuestro próximo proyecto Reggio Emilia, notamos el interés de los estudiantes por los planetas, los cohetes e incluso la vida fuera de nuestro planeta. También descubrimos que nuestros niños piensan que “Universo” y “Espacio exterior” son conceptos diferentes, además de creer que el cielo está sobre nuestro planeta, mientras que el espacio exterior está debajo de él.
El universo es un tema fascinante que despierta la imaginación y la curiosidad de los niños. A través de la exploración, la observación y el arte, este proyecto les permitirá aprender sobre el sistema solar, los planetas, las estrellas y otros cuerpos celestes de una manera significativa, fomentando el pensamiento científico, la creatividad y el trabajo en equipo.
Para dar inicio a este emocionante proyecto, nuestros pequeños de K3 reflexionarán sobre las siguientes preguntas:
- ¿Qué es el universo?
- ¿Por qué la Tierra es el único planeta habitable?
