Five months have passed since the school year started and it’s almost time for midterm exams. But, it’s also time for our Villa High students to start their second workshop for the second semester.
In the Visual Arts Workshop all students from the three grades were able to learn more about art and show their creativity and talent.
They learned about the basic elements of art, the use of color, techniques and the work of several artists from around the world and where their masterpieces, murals or sculptures are on display for art lovers to enjoy. I always encourage students to use their English while listening to a native-speaking-teacher.
It’s important to constantly emphasize the importance and beauty of Mexican art and traditions, so students acquire a sense of national pride and belonging.
Students from all three grades also helped trace and paint the different decorations displayed in our school premises for Independence Day, Day of The Dead, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Creatividad y talento artístico
Han pasado cinco meses desde que inició el ciclo escolar y ya casi es tiempo de exámenes parciales. Pero también es tiempo de que nuestros estudiantes de Villa High comiencen el taller para el segundo semestre.
En el Taller de Artes Visuales, todos los estudiantes de los tres grados pudieron aprender más sobre el arte y mostrar su creatividad y talento. Aprendieron sobre los elementos básicos del arte, el uso del color, las técnicas y el trabajo de varios artistas de todo el mundo y dónde se exhiben sus obras maestras, murales o esculturas para que los amantes del arte las disfruten.
Es importante enfatizar la importancia y la belleza del arte y las tradiciones mexicanas, para que los estudiantes adquieran un sentido de orgullo y pertenencia nacional.
Los estudiantes de los tres grados también ayudaron a trazar y pintar las diferentes decoraciones que se exhibieron en nuestras instalaciones escolares para el Día de la Independencia, el Día de Muertos, el Día de Acción de Gracias y la Navidad.
