This week we return to classes after the Christmas holidays. I hope all of our students have had a good rest and shared some special moments with their families.
Although we are several months into the school year, I am a big believer that we should all be given another opportunity. Nobody is perfect, everybody can improve and a new year is a perfect time to set new objectives. I hope our students can set realistic targets for themselves, it is our job as parents and teachers to help them fulfill their goals.
As principal, my objectives for the school this year are to improve students’ writing abilities as well as taking part in more activities in and against other schools.
We have many exciting events coming up soon which I am sure our students will love. The Flag Football and Paper Plane tournaments will provide more opportunities to win points for houses whereas the Science Fair and Sustainability Fair will test student’s research and presentation skills in front of the community.
I wish our students a wonderful 2025, I assure you that they can count on us here at Villa High in their journey.
Esta semana volvemos a clases después de las vacaciones de Navidad. Espero que todos nuestros alumnos hayan descansado y compartido momentos muy especiales con sus familias.
Aunque ya recorrimos varios meses del ciclo escolar, creo firmemente que todos deberíamos tener otra oportunidad para hacer cosas de forma diferente. Nadie es perfecto, siempre podemos mejorar y, un nuevo año, es un momento perfecto para establecer nuevos objetivos. Espero que nuestros estudiantes puedan establecer metas realistas para sí mismos; es nuestro trabajo como padres y maestros ayudarlos a cumplirlas.
Como coordinador de secundaria, mis objetivos para este año son mejorar las habilidades de escritura de los estudiantes y participar en más actividades internas y contra otras escuelas.
Tenemos muchos eventos interesantes por venir; estoy seguro que les encantarán a los alumnos. Los torneos de Flag Football y Paper Plane brindarán más oportunidades de ganar puntos para las casas, mientras que la Feria de Ciencias y la Feria de Sustentabilidad pondrán a prueba las habilidades de investigación y presentación de los estudiantes frente a la comunidad.
