We implement station-based learning (carousel learning) in our preschool classrooms to promote active engagement, hands-on exploration, and meaningful skill development. This approach divides our kiddos into small groups that rotate through short, structured activities, allowing them to learn through movement and interaction rather than remaining seated for long periods. This method also supports kinesthetic learning, encourages curiosity and problem-solving, and fosters social-emotional growth through collaboration and turn-taking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first station focused on color classification using tweezers. Kids sorted objects by color while strengthening their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. This activity also reinforced early math concepts such as categorization and visual discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the second station, students molded Play-Doh to form letters while practicing vocabulary. This hands-on literacy experience allowed kids to connect letter formation with word recognition, supporting both tactile learning and language development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the third station, our kids used a pencil to remove rubber bands, an activity designed to enhance pencil grip strength and fine motor control. This prepared them for early writing skills while keeping them actively engaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, in the fourth station, kiddos used stamps to form words, and then practiced reading them aloud. This station reinforced phonemic awareness, word recognition, and confidence in early reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
