Students in the Digital Creation Workshop  participated in an activity that helped the students think critically about how women still are experiencing problems in society today and why Women’s Day is important. We worked primarily on the issues women are facing today, and we tried to use creative means to allow the students the opportunity to express their ideas and opinions in writing with the other students in their class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They created a digital collage in Canva to represent the meaning of International Women’s Day. They used images, colours, words, and symbols to illustrate how they understood concepts, including equality, respect for women, women’s rights, and the visibility of women in a variety of fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a whole, this activity allowed students to develop their critical thinking ability as well as to express themselves creatively using visual communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
