As a closing activity for our monthly theme, Recycling, the children are invited to create a \u201cForky\u201d toy using recyclable materials available in the classroom, such as playdough, forks, and craft sticks. Through this activity, the children created art with recyclable materials and discovered how everyday items can be reused in creative ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and environmental awareness. During the experience, the children shared that many of them recycle at home and understand that recycling is part of healthy habits that help keep their homes and the planet clean.  Families are encouraged to create similar dynamics at home using available materials. To make a \u201cMr. Potato Head\u201d will always be a good idea! Using a vegetable such as a potato promotes creativity, family bonding, and recycling awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
