This month we challenged our students to step up as global citizens designing local solutions that tackle problems outlined in the UN Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Bridging the digital divide<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This month, our middle schoolers completed the \u201cDigital Divide\u201d mini project exploring the UN Goal 10, focusing on the essential role of technology in community growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students addressed urgent issues of the Digital Divide such as how we communicate online, specifically designing solutions to help seniors in the community master modern devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Our School, Our Planet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working in small groups, students explored UN Goal 11 dealing with the issue of sustainability in their own community. This activity was central to preparing them for our future by making them active problem solvers, they developed a unique proposal to improve their school!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Digital Divide? Cerrando la brecha digital<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este mes, nuestros alumnos de secundaria completaron el mini proyecto \u201cBrecha Digital\u201d, explorando el Objetivo 10 de la ONU, enfocado en el papel esencial de la tecnolog\u00eda para el crecimiento comunitario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los estudiantes abordaron temas urgentes relacionados con la divisi\u00f3n digital, como la forma en que nos comunicamos en l\u00ednea, dise\u00f1ando espec\u00edficamente soluciones para ayudar a los adultos mayores de la comunidad a dominar los dispositivos modernos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2<strong>. Nuestra Escuela, Nuestro Planeta<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trabajando en peque\u00f1os grupos, los estudiantes exploraron el Objetivo 11 de la ONU, relacionado con la sostenibilidad en su propia comunidad.
