K3 students made a parachute as part of a project inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. They modeled Dash using playdough and crafted a parachute using rubber and light materials. Through play, exploration, and art, the children imagined Dash returning from a space mission and needing to land gently on Earth. Using an air blower, they tested how different materials affect the descent. This activity promotes scientific thinking, artistic expression, problem-solving, and teamwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over several sessions, the children explored space and the universe through creative and sensory experiences. They started by watching virtual reality videos that transported them to other planets. In the classroom, we built a mini planetarium using a projector to simulate stars and planets. Inspired by these experiences, the children imagined Dash the robot traveling through the solar system. In small teams, they molded a Dash figure out of playdough and designed a parachute using rubber, paper, and ribbons. Finally, they tested<\/p>\n\n\n\n
