In our Literacy class, we are reading \u201cThe Dot,\u201d a book that encourages confidence and creativity in kids.  This book is full of colors: a red dot, a purple dot, a yellow dot, a big pink dot, and a little green dot, allowing kids to discover that mixing colors could make new colors.  For the new Reggio Project, K1 students are experimenting with colors, this book complements this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what is more important is that our kids are learning about giving everything a try, even the smallest actions or activities are worth trying to do. Preschool children are learning to become independent and what they can accomplish on their own.  We need to continue encouraging them to try new things and to feel confident about them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
