This hands-on, playful approach helped them to not only recognize letters but also to connect them with their corresponding sounds. By using the plush toys as a playful tool, the children engaged in meaningful and joyful learning experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The activity followed the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, which emphasizes hands-on learning, creativity, and the importance of the environment as the \u00abthird teacher.\u00bb By interacting with the toys, the children made connections between the sounds and the letters, and through play, they developed their first CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words in English. Cards with simple words served as a visual aid, supporting their understanding as they linked the sounds of the letters to the words on the cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this activity, the children not only learned about letters and sounds, but they also began to understand the power of language and communication.
